Antarctica21 provides each guest with a complimentary high-quality polar parka to keep, and waterproof rubber boots on loan for the duration of the voyage. The parka is yours to take home as a memento of the expedition.
Casual and comfortable attire throughout the voyage. Layered clothing — a thermal base, a fleece mid-layer, and the provided parka — is the standard for shore landings. Smart casual is welcome at the welcome and farewell dinners; no formal wear required.
Antarctica21 ships are 100% non-smoking, including all interior public areas, cabins, balconies and outdoor decks. Designated smoking areas may be provided on the open aft deck depending on weather conditions; please ask the bridge.
110V / 220V outlets are provided in every cabin (Type C / F European standard). Travelers from North America should bring a universal adapter; high-power devices (hair dryers, kettles) are pre-installed in cabins so you don't need to pack one.
Onboard currency is U.S. Dollar (USD). Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) are accepted at the bar, gift shop and for spa services; settlement is in USD. There is no ATM onboard.
Gratuities for the expedition team and crew are at your discretion. Antarctica21's recommended guideline is approximately USD $15 per guest per day. Tipping envelopes are available at reception toward the end of the voyage.
Limited satellite Wi-Fi is available throughout the ship at no extra charge for light browsing and email. Streaming, video calls and large downloads are not supported due to bandwidth constraints in polar latitudes.
All guests must complete a confidential medical questionnaire before embarkation. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation (minimum USD $200,000 per person for Antarctic voyages) is mandatory; proof must be submitted before final payment.
