Age-old rituals and traditions are part of daily life here, and as you sail, you'll get to know the people and places that define it.

A remote autumn adventure

As we journey south through Sweden and Finland, we'll have plenty of opportunities to explore in true expedition style. That may mean hiking coastal trails or skimming across the water in a Zodiac, making the most of the autumn light. This is a coastline shaped by the Ice Age, and the Expedition Team will bring it all to life through lectures, workshops, and excursions.

Landing Activities

Escorted landings with Zodiac boats when the ship is at anchor at Åland Islands, Höga Kusten, Kvarken, and Stockholm archipelago. Otherwise, the ship will dock at the pier.
Necessary equipment for activities, such as walking poles, will be provided on board on loan. Your HX travel documents will have a recommended packing list.

Our experts will lead you on this sea kayaking adventure. Paddle into Wonder There’s truly no better way to feel the scale, silence, and raw beauty of this landscape than from the seat of a kayak. Guided by seasoned experts, you’ll glide across the water with your fellow adventurers, experiencing your surroundings in a uniquely intimate and peacefully immersive way. Duration: Approx. 3 hrs (time on water approx. 1.5 hrs) Difficulty: Level 3 — Active Highlights: • Explore from a rare water-level perspective • Encounter wildlife up close, without the noise of a motor. • Each outing is led by expert guides who ensure the utmost safety and share insights, and you’ll be provided with all the top-quality gear you need. Practical information: Practical information • This is an optional, add-on activity, available at an additional cost. • This activity can only be booked on board. • Top-quality kayaking gear is provided, including a two-person hard-shell sea kayak, paddle, boots, life jacket, drysuit, and pogies. • Please note that this kayaking activity only uses two-person kayaks. Along the way, you might encounter wildlife and unique plant life, all brought to life by expert Expedition Team members. Duration: Varies between 1.5–5 hours Difficulty: Level 3 — Active Highlights: • Explore extraordinary landscapes with Expedition Team members who will share their knowledge about the area. • See wildlife and unique ecosystems • Hike trails off the beaten path for unmatched views and immersive adventure. Practical information: • Included: (used at planners discretion for specialist equipment/meals. Not needed for regular coach/guide/entry – planner can remove section if not needed) • Walking poles • Remarks/requirements: • All hiking activities are presented on board during the voyage by our Expedition Team. Options may include both included and add-on excursions. • Proper hiking boots with ankle support are strongly recommended, and in some cases mandatory, to participate. • The activity is conducted in English; all participants should understand instructions in English for safety reasons. • Hikes are subject to weather and trail conditions. You might follow the coastline to search for geological landscapes flora and fauna, the possibilities are endless. With you all the way, our Expedition Team and expert crew share their passion and knowledge.
