From Scottish shores to the ice of Spitsbergen, via the Norwegian coastlines, this Nordic odyssey will take you into a raw and fascinating world. Windswept islands and vertiginous fjords unveil legendary sites, sketching out the history of the breathtaking Hebrides, Shetland and Lofoten archipelagos. In the north, cliffs populated by seabirds, fishermen’s cabins and jagged peaks announce the Arctic. At the gateway to Svalbard, time seems to stand still. Age-old fjords and glaciers are home to whales, walruses and Arctic foxes, as well as the polar bear, the discreet lord of the manor, which sometimes allows itself to be glimpsed in this opaline kingdom. We are privileged guests in these extreme lands, where weather and ice conditions dictate the course. Sailing schedules, landings at certain sites and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed and vary from day to day, making every PONANT cruise a unique experience. The captain and expedition leader will do their utmost to ensure that your experience is as enriching as possible, while complying with safety instructions and AECO regulations.

A bespoke approach to exploration, ensuring every stopover is as enriching as it is unforgettable. Activities: One included excursion per day and per guest. Optional paid excursions are also available depending on the port of call. Activities guided by our team of naturalists (depending on the destination) are included and organised directly on board. Landings (depending on the destination): By dock, tender boat, local boats, or Zodiac. Your experts on board: The team of naturalist guides. Children: Children from 6 years of age are welcome on board (from 8 years old on Le Commandant Charcot ). The full program of all excursions, both included and optional, is available eight months prior to departure. Reservations open approximately two months before departure.
