Booking & Cancellation Policies

Children Policy

A passenger is considered a child when under 12 years of age on the date of travel. For our Galapagos cruises, the standard child discount is 50% off the applicable cruise rate when the child shares a cabin with two full-fare-paying adults. During holiday or peak-season departures, the child discount is 25%. The discount is subject to the cabin’s authorized capacity and availability. If the child does not share with two full-fare-paying adults, the accommodation must be reviewed and quoted according to the actual occupancy. Government fees and airfare follow their own child rules and amounts and may change. These items will therefore be confirmed in each quotation. A signed Waiver of Liability is required for children under 12, together with a copy of the legal representative’s passport.

Single Supplement

Single occupancy remains subject to availability and is confirmed in writing with each quotation. We are always happy to review additional single-cabin needs case by case, according to inventory.

Cancellation Policy

151+ days before departure: 0% penalty 91–150 days before departure: 500 USD penalty 0–90 days before departure: 100% penalty All cancellations and changes must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by GO Galapagos. Peak-season deposits and promotional fares are non-refundable. HOD departures may carry stricter conditions.

Gratuities

Gratuities are not included and remain voluntary. Our suggested guideline is calculated per person, per day: - USD 20 for the crew - USD 10 for the naturalist guide Therefore, the total suggested gratuity is USD 30 per person, per day. Guests may adjust the amount at their discretion based on their experience.

Insurance Requirements

ravel insurance is mandatory for all passengers using GO Galapagos services or third-party services arranged by us and must be obtained before arrival in Ecuador. Insurance is not included in our cruise or tour rates. We strongly recommend comprehensive coverage for medical treatment, accident and sickness, emergency assistance or evacuation, trip cancellation, interruption or delay, baggage and personal property, and life insurance, as appropriate to the traveler. Passengers should select coverage suitable for the activities included in their itinerary and for any pre-existing condition or special need.
