Children Policy
Child: Guests aged 6 to 12 years at the time of embarkation. Teen: Guests aged 13 to 15 years at the time of embarkation. Guests aged 16 years and above pay the applicable adult fare. The minimum age for all Aurora Expeditions voyages is 6 years at the time of departure. All children and teens must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the voyage. The accompanying adult is fully responsible for supervision, conduct, and compliance with all onboard safety procedures and expedition staff instructions.Important Notes Eligible children and teens are accommodated on the sofabed within the cabin. Sofabed approximate dimensions for sleeping: Length: 200 cm (79 inches); Width: 140 cm (55 inches).

Single Supplement
Aurora Expeditions' single occupancy policy varies across its three vessels.
Douglas Mawson is the only ship that features dedicated single cabins, offering a total of 6 single cabins with single beds. In addition, the vessel provides 4 no-single-supplement cabins per sailing, which are marked with an asterisk in the system and are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
Greg Mortimer and Sylvia Earle do not have purpose-built single cabins, but each sailing offers 10 no-single-supplement cabins, also marked with an asterisk.
In total, only 10 no-single-supplement single-occupancy spaces are available per sailing across the fleet. Any additional solo bookings beyond this limit will be subject to a 150% single supplement (i.e., 1.5 times the double-occupancy fare).
Cancellation Policy
121+ days before departure: 25% penalty
0–120 days before departure: 100% penalty
Name change fee: $500 USD
Gratuities
A gratuity of USD $20 per person, per day for the crew and Expedition Team will be automatically added to your onboard account. You may remove or adjust this amount when settling your account. For suite guests, this gratuity is included as part of the Suite Benefits.
Insurance Requirements
1.Due to the adventurous style of travel offered by Aurora Expeditions and the remoteness of the areas in which we travel, it is a condition of travel with Aurora Expeditions that all passengers are covered by comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure, and that they maintain such insurance for the duration of the expedition.
2.Passengers travelling with Aurora Expeditions are required to be covered by a reputable travel insurance policy that includes baggage loss, cancellation & curtailment of holiday, medical, accident and repatriation/emergency evacuation coverage worth at least $250,000 USD and otherwise on terms that are sufficient to indemnify you. We travel to remote regions of the world and we recommend that the insurance policy’s repatriation/emergency evacuation benefit be higher than minimum and cover you for remote or Polar Evacuation should it be required. In the case of a medical issue arising during the expedition, either on board or on shore, which results in costs for medical treatment, repatriation, evacuation, use of aircraft, etc, the responsibility for payment of these costs and expenses belongs solely to the passenger. Please ensure that such eventualities are covered by your travel insurance policy. In any case, if you are not covered by a travel insurance policy, the responsibility remains with the passenger and Aurora Expeditions specifically declines any responsibility whatsoever, including in circumstances where Aurora Expeditions or a related body corporate of Aurora Expeditions arranges a travel insurance policy on your behalf.
3.Your insurance details must be supplied to us prior to final payment and if you fail to provide the requested insurance information at the time requested, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
4.In that event that you do not produce confirmation of travel insurance to Aurora Expeditions pursuant to clause 3 and your booking is subsequently cancelled by Aurora Expeditions, you will remain liable to pay any amounts that are due and payable in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
